New Physician, Manika Thakur MD, Practicing at Brewer Medical Center

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that Mary Manika Thakur, MD, has joined the medical staff at Brewer Medical Center, 735 Wilson Street, Brewer.  Dr. Thakur’s practice centers on all aspects of high-quality medical care, including patient physicals, acute visits, and health care maintenance.

Manika Thakur, MD, previously served as resident physician at Eastern Maine Medical Center prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care.  Dr. Robert Allen, Executive Medical Director, states “Penobscot Community Health Care is pleased to announce that Manika Thakur, MD, will be joining the staff of Brewer Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Nancy O’Neill.  Manika is a recent graduate of the Family Medicine Residency Program at Eastern Maine Medical Center.  Patients will find Dr. Thakur to be a kind, caring, knowledgeable physician who will work along-side them to optimize their health.  PCHC is fortunate to have such an outstanding physician join the staff at Brewer Medical Center.” 

Dr. Thakur, who received her Medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, India in 1997 and completed an External Observership and Preliminary Internship at Eastern Maine medical Center, will be accepting new patients at Brewer Medical Center located at 735 Wilson Street, Brewer; for an appointment, please call 989-1567.
