Paula Lockhart, MD, Child Psychiatrist, Joins Penobscot Pediatrics

Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that Paula Lockhart, MD, Child Psychiatrist, has joined the integrated medical staff of Penobscot Pediatrics at 1068 Union Street, on PCHC’s main Bangor Campus.  Dr. Lockhart’s practice centers on all aspects of high-quality pediatric mental health. 

Dr. Robert Allen, Executive Medical Director said, “Dr. Lockhart is a Child Psychiatrist who has had a distinguished career for the past 20 years including as an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, as well as being a Staff Psychiatrist and Director of the Outpatient Psychiatry Department at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.  PCHC’s children and adolescent patients and their families are fortunate that they will be able to receive the benefit of her medical expertise and compassionate care at Penobscot Pediatrics.”
 
Paula Lockhart, MD, a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed postgraduate training at Georgetown University Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she also completed a faculty fellowship.  Prior to joining Penobscot Community Health Care, Dr. Lockhart served as Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Acadia Hospital.  Dr. Lockhart has over 23 years of experience, which includes numerous publications, as well as teaching, training, and clinical research activities.  Dr. Lockhart will be seeing patients of Penobscot Pediatrics; to become a patient please call 207-947-0147.
