EMAN Hosting National HIV Testing Day, June 27

More than one million people in the United States are living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.  Of those one million people, CDC estimates one out of five people do not know they are infected.  The only way to know if you are infected with HIV is to get tested.  The 17th Annual National HIV Testing Day is Monday, June 27th.

Free confidential HIV testing will be available at the Eastern Maine Aids Network office at 370 Harlow Street, June 27th through July 1st  from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Additionally, the City of Bangor Health and Community Services will offer free anonymous HIV testing and syphilis screening at 103 Texas Avenue on Monday June 27th from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Tuesday June 28th from 2:00pm to 3:30, and June 29th from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.

For more information, call Eastern Maine AIDS Network at 990-3626, or the City of Bangor Health and Community Services STD clinic at 992-4555.
