Penobscot Community Health Care (PCHC) is pleased to announce that they provided $1,806,195 in free and discounted care to patients in 2010 through their Affordable Care Plan (sliding fee scale). This was an increase of $517,139 or 40% more than the free and discounted care provided in 2009.
PCHC’s mission is providing access to patient-centered, high quality, comprehensive, integrated, health care services, regardless of ability to pay. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Penobscot Community Health Care offers sliding fees based on income in accordance with federal poverty guidelines and patient family size at all of our practices and for all of our services.
Penobscot Community Health Care’s practices are accepting new patients. To become a new patient at a convenient location near you, please call 207-992-9200. We accept all major insurances, including MaineCare and Medicare.
