Commitment to Mission: PCHC is by far the largest and most comprehensive of the 19 FQHC organizations in Maine and the 3rd or 4th largest of the 100 in New England.

Patients: Over 50,000. 70% are lower income persons and seniors.

Patient Visits: 300,000 in 2011. 350,000 expected in 2012. Up from 25,000 eight years ago.

Affordable Care Program: $1.3 million written off in 2009, double 2008. $2 million expected in 2012.

Always Open to New Patients: 4-6,000 new medical, and 4-6,000 new dental patients/year. Same day first appointment or within a few days.

Staff: 640 employees, up from 25 in 2002. 170 providers. Salaries and benefits in 2012 over $30 million.

Budget: $50 million in 2012. Federal grants are only about 5% of PCHC’s budget.
