Notice of changes to ACP Program
We’d like to let you know about changes in the Affordable Care Program. PCHC has worked tirelessly to lessen the impact of Medicaid cuts and the rising cost of health care. As part of that work the ACP Program will be changing its fee structure so it will be consistent with Federal requirements and will also be more in line with fees at other FQHC’s in Maine. The new fees will allow the program to remain sustainable, yet reasonable when considering the great value of the services provided. We accept many commercial health insurance plans, as well as Medicare and MaineCare. The charge for your visit is based upon many factors, such as insurance status, co-pays or minimum fees.
Affordable Care Plan
If you don't have insurance, we have a variety of payment options and financial assistance though our Affordable Care Plan, which is based on your income, family size, and ability to pay. Eligible applicants may receive a significant savings off the cost of their care. Your PCHC Resource Specialist can answer any questions you may have on patient billing, insurance, or help you with financial assistance applications. Call any PCHC practice and ask to speak with a Resource Specialist today.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Penobscot Community Health Care offers sliding fees based on income in accordance with federal poverty guidelines and patient family size at all of our practices and for all of our services. To see if you qualify for our Affordable Care Program, click below on the Affordable Care Income Guidelines. You may be required to apply for MaineCare prior to the Afforable Care Application Review.
